Jobot Coffee Shop
Visit them online and stop by for some awesome coffee!!  Great place, right next to the Lost Leaf.  Get tea and smoothies from Conspire  (they no longer do coffee) THIS PLACE IS AWESOME....they serve crepes and will be offering more food items soon. 

The Lost Leaf
Bar/music venue...they have a great selection of hand crafted micro brews.  Lost Leaf has bands playing almost every night with NO cover to get in.  Bring your ear plugs, and check thier website for info on who is playing.  914 North 5th Street & Roosevelt

Conspire
Visit thier website and make sure to see them when you are in the nieghborhood.   Conspire Phoenix is collectively owned and operated arts and crafts boutique, espresso bar, library, and neighborhood hangout. They are located in the heart of sunny downtown Phoenix, at 901 N 5th St., NE corner of Garfield and 5th St. They are open daily with extended hours. Plus, they open thier doors for events, classes, art openings, and art fairs.

Tammie Coe Cakes
Some of the best sandwhiches and baked goods you'll ever eat are here.  They have a full coffee bar and other beverages as well.  Visit their website for more info about them and grab a bite to eat while your out.

Modified Arts
Seen so many great performances here.  Unfourtunately they no longer book as many bands like they did in the past.    Seems they will be focused more on being an art gallery now, but still check their website often to see what is on the calender.

Dressing Room
Seen a lot of bands play here recently.  I dont have a website for them to find a calender, but many nights there are bands playing here.  Very fun spot to hang at and no cover charge!  Anyone know of a site they have a calender at let me know please.

Trunkspace
Many, many amazing bands big and small have played and countinue to play here.  Right next to  Bikini Lounge makes it great as well if you and your friends want to enjoy some drinks.  Trunk Space is a must if you enjoy live bands.  Check thier website frequent for bands coming through town.  There is also a pizza spot open right down the street so you can grab a bite between bands.

Willow House
Coffee Shop and art gallery.  Very nice and relaxing spot to hang out and get a drink and a snack.   They are located  at 1722 West Van Buren Street.   They are on the bus line designated for the artwalk as well.   Visit them online.
 
Holga's
On First Fridays they will usually showcase local talent outside.  A great place to check out music and not be crammed inside.  And also great artwork inside.  Visit them online and check the calender for events.  Link for live music/what is going on this month here.

Bikini Loung

A favorite spot for many.  A historic bar as well.  Ask the bartender and if your nice she'll give you a history lesson about this spot.  Great prices on drinks, great music in the juke box and next door at the Trunk Space.  If you have not been, make sure you do soon.
